The results of the Local Elections held on 31 March 2024 to elect local administrators who will serve for 5 years throughout Türkiye have been announced. In Türkiye, which has a population of 85 million, 48 million 256 thousand voters out of 61 million 430 thousand voters voted. The participation rate in the elections was 78.55 percent. There are 30 metropolitan cities, 51 provinces, 922 districts and 398 town municipalities in Türkiye.

35 political parties participated in the local elections. Among these, the parties that won provincial and district municipalities are; Justice and Development Party (AK Party), Republican People’s Party (CHP), Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Democracy and Equality Party (DEM), Great Unity Party (BBP), Re-Welfare Party (YRP), Great Unity Party (BBP) ), İYİ Party (İP), Democrat Party (DP), Democratic Left Party (DSP), Saadet Party (SP), Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), Turkish Workers’ Party (TİP) and Left Party.

In the elections, CHP received 37.77 percent, Ak Party 35.49 percent, YRP 6.19 percent, DEM 5.70 percent, MHP 4.99 percent, İyi Party 3.77 percent, Zafer Party 1.74 percent, Saadet Party 1.09 percent of the votes.

According to the results of the 31 March 2024 Turkish Local Elections, AK Party won 549 municipalities, CHP 433 municipalities, MHP 228 municipalities, DEM 85 municipalities, YRP 65 municipalities, İP 32 municipalities, BBP 20 municipalities, DP 2 municipalities, SP 1, TİP 1, Left Party 1 , DEVA 1 and Independent candidates won 10 municipalities.
