Young people from Turkey participated in Yayfest, the largest Youth Camp in Azerbaijan, organized in Shamakhi in cooperation with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation.
The Yayfest youth camp, attended by thousands of young people, offers young people an energetic and dynamic environment and offers them the opportunity to have fun and learn. The festival, which has been held since 2019, lasts for 2 months and consists of a series of camps covering various topics. More than 30 young people from Zeytinburnu, Pendik and Başiskele districts, which are members of TDBB in Turkey, attended the festival, which was planned to be attended by more than 2 thousand young people in total. Turkish young people who were in the camp between 12-16 August 2024 participated in various events and meetings with Azerbaijani young people for 1 week at the Yayfest camp held in the city of Shamakhi.
In addition to the camp activities, young people from Turkey also visited the most historical part of Baku, the Icheri-Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve, the Maiden’s Castle, the Shirvanshahs’ Palace and the Lahij settlement of the Ismailli district, one of the beautiful corners of Azerbaijan.
