September Executive Board Meeting of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) was held in Konya on 15 September 2024, hosted by Konya Metropolitan Municipality.
The meeting, chaired by President of TDBB and Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay, was attended by TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, TDBB Executive Board members Mayor of Zeytinburnu Ömer Arısoy, Mayor of Bağcılar Abdullah Özdemir, Mayor of Şahinbey Mehmet Tahmazoğlu and Mayor of Başiskele Yasin Özlü.
The meeting continued with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak providing information about the projects carried out and the agenda since the Executive Board meeting on 29 August 2024, and discussing the agenda items.
Within this framework it was decided to provide the participation of Bağcılar, Şahinbey, Başiskele and Gebze Municipalities and TDBB in the “International Urbanism Forum” to be held in Kyrgyzstan on 16-18 October 2024, to organize an expert training program for educators coming to Turkey from Kyrgyzstan within the scope of the “Kindergarten Development Project” in cooperation with TDBB and member municipalities on 22-28 September 2024, to carry out “Cooperation Protocol Signing Ceremony” program between Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities (KTBB) and the Union of Azerbaijani City Municipalities (AŞBMA) to be held in TRNC on 25-28 September 2024 under the coordination of TDBB, to provide accommodation support for the visit program to Istanbul by the delegation of representatives of Kazakhstan non-governmental organizations on 14-19 October 2024, to provide the participation of TDBB Secretary General Dr. Fahri Solak as an Observer in the parliamentary elections to be held in Uzbekistan on 27 September 2024, upon the invitation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and to carry out the process to hold TDBB October Administrative Board Meeting hosted by Bağcılar Municipality.
