The “Kyrgyzstan Preschool Education Managers Expert Training Program”, organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with the Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbaeva Foundation, Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and Turkish member municipalities Bahçelievler, Bağcılar, Başakşehir and Esenler Municipalities, was completed with presentations and field trips held in Istanbul on 22-28 September 2024.
The Specialist Training Program was attended by 14 people including Deputy Mayor of Stork (Batken) Maksatai Karimberdieva, Experts from the International Roza Otunbaeva Foundation Saltanat Adylbek, Ainura Abdyldaeva and Asel Jakypbekova, Coordinator of the Village Child Development Centers Project in Jalal-Abad Region Nurgul Nuralieva, Educator of the Can Balam Child Development Center in Jalal-Abad Elmira Mamyrova, Educator of the Narın R. Omurakunova Child Development Center Dilbara Apyshova, Educator of the Narın Emgekçil-Keleçegi Educator Aiymbubu Aidarova, Educator of the Narın K. Tınaliev Child Development Center Sagynbubu Tynalieva, Educator of the Osh Beş-Konuş Child Development Center Danagul Koshokova, Educator of the Osh Gülburak Child Development Center Bazargul Sarytaeva, Educator of the Osh Kabılan-Köl Child Development Center Seiilkan Matisakova, Educator of the Osh Kyzyl-Esme Child Development Center Trainer Upol Isakova and Issyk-Göl Altın Balalik Child Development Center Trainer Kymbat Kazakbaeva.
On the first day of the program, 23 September 2024, the delegation visited Bahçelievler Municipality Şirin Kindergarten and received information about the educational activities. Within the scope of the Bahçelievler Municipality visit, the delegation was also accepted by Mayor Hakan Bahadır. On the same day, the delegation visited Esenler Municipality Esma Biltaci Mother Child Play Campus and received information about the ongoing activities.
On the second day of the program, educators visited Bağcılar Municipality “Child Care Center”. The delegation then visited the Başakşehir Municipality and met with Başakşehir Municipality Deputy Mayor Ömer Faruk Ay. Following this meeting, the delegation visited the “Mother Child Center” in Başakşehir and the Abdulhamit Han Mosque 4-6 Year Old Nursery and received information from educators about the values education given to children.
On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, the delegation visited Bakırköy Halil Vedat Fıratlı Kindergarten and Küçükçekmece Municipal Kindergarten, which are affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (MEB), and observed the activities carried out in these schools.
On the fourth day of the program, the delegation visited the Eyüpsultan Şehit Kubilay Kindergarten and Zeytinburnu Şehit İbrahim Yılmaz School, which are affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. The delegation of educators met with İstanbul National Education Basic Education Branch Manager Cüneyt Kamacı and Zeytinburnu District Branch Manager Harun Can at dinner and received information about Turkey’s kindergarten education system.
On Friday, 27 September 2024, the last day of the program, the delegation visited historical and cultural sites in Istanbul. Later, the delegation visited TDBB and met with Secretary General Fahri Solak. The delegation was informed about the projects of the Union and the program. The educators stated that the program was very useful for them, that they learned very useful information and that they will try to implement the exemplary work they saw here in Kyrgyzstan, and thanked the institutions and organizations that contributed, especially TDBB. After the meeting, the educators were presented with certificates and a photo was taken to commemorate the day.
The program was completed with the delegation’s return to their country on 28 September 2024.
