Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) November Executive Board Meeting was held on 28 November 2024 at the Union headquarters in Istanbul.
The meeting chaired by President of TDBB and Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay was attended by Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak, TDBB Executive Board members Mayor of Bağcılar Abdullah Özdemir, Mayor of Başiskele (Kocaeli) Mehmet Yasin Özlü, Mayor of Şahinbey (Gaziantep) Mehmet Tahmazoğlu and Mayor of Zeytinburnu (Istanbul) Ömer Arısoy.
The meeting continued with the briefing of Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak on the activities and agenda since the Executive Board meeting held on 30 October 2024 and discussion of the issues on the agenda.
In this framework, TDBB will support the operating expenses of the ‘In the Footsteps of Evliya Çelebi: Ottoman Artifacts in Bosnia and Herzegovina Project’ requested by the Embassy of Republic of Türkiye in Sarajevo, TDBB’s support for the operating expenses of the project in 2025, TDBB’s participation in the “Regional Development Forum” to be held in Uzbekistan on 03-04 December 2024, TDBB’s support for the “Bosnia and Herzegovina National Armed Forces Day Reception” to be held by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ankara on 10 December 2024, TDBB’s support for the construction of a student dormitory in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2025 monthly expenses will be supported by TDBB, within the scope of ‘Aid to Palestine Project’ carried out in cooperation with TDBB and our member municipalities, it was decided to work in coordination with our member municipalities in Palestine on the delivery of the financial support sent and to be sent to our Union by our member municipalities, TDBB Executive Board Meeting for December 2024 will be held in Gaziantep, hosted by Şahinbey Municipality.
